Our Artistic Side

On any given day, you’ll find our residents expressing their artistic side. About 10 of our residents meet weekly for an art class led by resident Mildred Gloede. The group has generated so many inspiring works that members organized their own art show at our Community Center to rave reviews.

At our Front Porch Gallery in Carlsbad, California, we not only exhibit the artwork of our residents, we also celebrate those remarkable artists who’ve created them. The Front Porch Gallery also partners with community arts organizations to create an understanding of aging through art. If in town, we invite you to visit the Front Porch Gallery at 2903 Carlsbad Boulevard in Carlsbad. It’s located adjacent to Carlsbad By The Sea Retirement Community.
